Poured Concrete

This past week has been very busy that is why I have not had any new posts. This Friday is the official last day that we are supposed to have in our old house. We have already moved out, but there is still a lot that we want to remove from the house. We still have a deck, part of the fence, all of the fence posts, all of my tools, the marble bath tub and shower to get out. I am very much looking forward to not having anything left to do at the old house. It seems that moving is all we do these days.

Last week while the builder was on vacation some things did get done. At the start of the week they finished leveling out the fill materials so they could pour concrete. Also, they did some waterproofing around the basement walls. This green foam board appears to be glued to the concrete walls and is the waterproofing that they do for the basement.

Later in the week the concrete slabs got poured for the basement and garage. The concrete looks great, the basement looks like it could be a skating rink. The only bad thing is that the weather was pretty hot last week and they had to put some sealer on the garage floor to keep it from drying too fast. I wanted to epoxy the garage floor and now I will need to decide whether to just keep it sealed or to acid wash it so I can epoxy it. I can not epoxy over the sealer because it will peel off. Here are photos of the poured concrete.
